Looks like it’s just a matter of choosing the right theme and customizing it as needed. In the future, I’ll make sure that what needs editing is within my capabilities!
I’ve just done a few tweaks to one of the themes Tumblr provides to make it similar to the upcoming redesign of www.SJHphotographs.com! However, I couldn’t find the place in the code to move the About section to the top. Instead, it will have to remain at the bottom of my blog until then!
If you’ve had this problem in the past, I’d be very interested to know how you were able to solve it!
Hey all!
A little update to let you all know how the coding is going!
The main structure and colors are remaining similar to the current build, but I hope the code will give you a better experience with my images.
My gallery will be split into two parts immediately (with more during later updates): Portraiture and Product Photography. It will also be easier to navigate through my images, versus the current slideshow.
Here’s another sample from my Pill project, which I’ll upload to SJHphotographs.com when the whole project is complete. I’ve always enjoyed the yellow and grey color scheme, and the color, light, and shadow really draws me in!
I had struggled with this for quite a while before finding a very simple solution! Not that I don’t love the Tumblr website, but I’ve wanted to embed my blog into www.SJHphotographs.com for quite a while. Turns out that Tumblr gave the solution in the center column of www.tumblr.com/goodies. Too bad I didn’t figure this out 9 months ago when my site was first published!
I’d found this because the 3rd official version of SJHphotographs is being constructed at the moment and was quite determined to embed!
I’ve just bought a Mac Mini to do some more dedicated photography work. After all, Adobe originally designed Photoshop for the Mac! I’m not switching, just expanding to both systems!
I’m starting a little side project. A little series on pills, and I thought I’d post the cover for you.
I got this idea from a professor. If you have an image (or an item you can create an image from) that you like the colors of in a row, crop the image down to 1px in height and leave the width unaltered, you can select colors from the image easily!
I am a people person, I love to work and be around people, but I am not an event photographer! A twenty-year-old man is not viewed as a professional and if he comes up to you it IS right to think that he is creepy.
I thank the mother (or grandmother) of the young girls I photographed with their purchases on Black Friday for her caution. If more people were like her, certain crimes would begin to drop.
I’m doing some research into gallery scripts for my site. Any suggestions?
